Sleek Sweet Cheeks Blush Review!

I’ve had this for a while now and I’ve gradually being using it more and more, you would have seen it in my July Favourites.  I’m utterly in love with this blush palette.

There is a single cream shadow and two powder shadows.  The cream blush is incredibly cream but doesn’t slide off your face just after application, or disappear into your skin either.  It has brilliant pigmentation and the pay off is really good too.  I’ve had this with other blushes, so I’m pleased this is not the case for this blush!  It is a lovely vibrant pink without being too shocking and it blends really well.  In the hotter weather I tend to put a powder blush over the top to help the cream blush stay on longer.  I have oily skin so it does disintegrate creamy products quicker than powder products.  Plus I’m a fan of layering blusher anyway! The two powder blushes are also really creamy to the touch and have great pigmentation and pay off that translates really well to the face.   There is a small amount of fall out, but most blushes do.  These blushes are in no way chalky, which means no white cast!  Dolly Mix is a stunning soft lilac pink which has no shimmer in it, Candy Floss is an utterly beautiful Coral pink with a touch of shimmer.  I tend to use Candy Floss the most often as I’m going through a coral phase, it’s lovely over other blushes to bring out more corally tones without being too intense.

For all these blushes I would recommend starting out with a small amount and building up to get the colour intensity you like, don’t be afraid to layer up your blushes!  It adds a nice bit of extra dimension to your face – especially if like me you don’t contour with another colour.

This retails for £9.99 at Superdrug or £10 from the Sleek website. You get 17g or 6Oz of product.  It has very sturdy packaging and I wouldn’t worry about popping this in my bag for possible touch-ups and like all Sleek products it has a good sized mirror.
