Clinique Take the Day Off Review

Clinique Take the Day Off
I’ve been using this lovely cleanser for about a month, every single day.  I generally use it in the evenings and continue to use my Emma Hardie cleansing balm in the morning.

I find this cleansing balm really good at breaking down my makeup, more so that my EH.   Generally it’s a really lovely cleanser.  This retails for £21 for 125ml and I bought mine at boots, there are other retailers.  It has a slightly different texture to the EH, it has more of a slip to it, the EH feels slightly coarse by comparison.

I tend to remove my makeup first, then use this for my second cleanse.  It works like many other cleansing balms.  Scoop a small amount out of the tub, I like to then rub it between my hands, then rub it all over my face.  It changes to an oil quite quickly.  I generally start with my eyes to give it time to break up any eye makeup that might be left over .  Then I apply it over the rest of my face in circular motions!  I like to use a face cloth to remove the cleanser – just add nice hot water (not too hot mind you!).   You may prefer a muslin cloth.  Either way, a cloth of some time is required to remove this cleanser.

This hasn’t caused any irritation and it isn’t too harsh for my skin. A friend has slightly drier skin and she noticed her skin was tight after using it.  I’ve never had that issue, I have oily combination skin.  I have used this morning and night to check if it would cause any irritation or drying of my skin and I have not have any issues with it thankfully!

I would definitely recommend this and I think it’s great value for money.  I’ve done a video review below which you can check out if you like!
