|Bought It, Forgot It Final Update|
Time for my final update on the items I had bought and entirely forgot about! There have been some excellent successes and some full on fails. If you want to see what other products I have been testing out again, you can check out the first post here and the first update here.
So let’s focus on the final products and my thoughts!
Let’s talk blush. First up is this multicolour blush from GOSH called Pink Pie, I did originally pick this up from Superdrug but can’t find it on the website. I think this is a beautiful pinky peachy shade, perfect for spring/summer. Well more summer. You can change your shade depending on the colours you swirl together! Really enjoy this and it is in firm rotation now! Next up is Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in Blushalicious. This is a great spring blush, when all swirled together it’s a nice paler pink colour. The final blush is a HD Blush from elf in Diva. This is a very vibrant pink, a teeny tiny amount goes a very very long way. I think this is a great blush for summer.
Next up are the eye products. I have a bareMinerals Prime Time Primer in Chroma Violet. I’ve actually been enjoying wearing this by itself on those days that I’m in a rush, it’s great taupe purple shade. It’s also a great base for another eye product pictured – elf mineral eyeshadow in Wine Tour. I’m not actually very fussed on this eyeshadow by itself, it’s powdery and not great pigmentation. It does work well over the bareMinerals primer though. Next is a lovely eyeshadow set from Benefit that I’ve thoroughly fallen in love with! It’s Big Beautiful Eyes eye contour kit. This is a great go to trio for those rushed days, or if you just fancy something neutral but a wee bit shimmery. The dark matte brown shade in this kit is utterly fabulous as a liner, I tend to reach for it any time I need a brown liner. I don’t use the concealer (it’s dried up by now), I also no longer possess the small brushes included (who manages to keep track of these??). It has been one of the best finds from this project! The second best, favourite-est (yes new sort of word), utterly wonderful product is the elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder. I love this product. Seriously. I use this with my mac Pro Longwear concealer. It sets it wonderful and doesn’t cake up the concealer. I just feels like it brightens that area without changing the shade of the concealer! Considering I really didn’t like this when I first got it because I thought the tiny glitter pieces were visible on my face, turns out they’re not visible in the slightest! The powder is really finely milled. I now reach for this practically every day. Love.
One item not pictured is bareminerals lipgloss in Puff Pastry (I keep calling this cupcake). I didn’t like this at all. The smell is too sickly sweet for me, when I did test it out I actually had to wipe it off my lips as it was turning my stomach, It was also very sticky. I discussed this as a fail from my February Favourites. It is long gone at this point.
So that is it for my final update! I’m really pleased that I’ve investigated these products again. I did a few swatches as I went along in the video, so you can check that out down below.
