Spring Nail Art

So you  may remember from this post, that I bought a few nail art bits and pieces.  So I thought it time to try out some nail art designs.  I’m trying to make myself relax for a few hours, turn off the computer etc.  So this seemed the perfect way to do it!

I selected a design from my Wah Nails Book of Nail Art (£6.99), I went with the Roses design.  The colours I decided to use were all from the Barry M Silk Collection (£3.99 each) – I had a few I’d not tested, so it was time to give them a whirl.  I used two coats of Pearl as my colour base.  I then used Blossom and Heather as the flowers and Meadow for the leaves – I used a small angled brush to do the leaves, the brush came from a very cheap nail brush set (£0.75), but it did a great job!.  I  decided to use my Barry M black Nail Art Pen (£4.99) to outline the flowers and leaves, so easy to use!  For my base coat I used the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure (£9.99) and Seche Vite Dry Fast (£9) as my top coat.

Can you tell it was my first time trying something like this?  I think they’re not too bad though.  I’m looking forward to trying a few more of the designs out.  This was such a nice way to spend some time.  I had to really focus on it and let go of some daily stresses.

Have you ever tried out nail art designs?  Let me know if you have and which ones you found easy – I definitely need some easier ones to start with!

Thanks for reading!
