So if you follow me on Instagram you probably know I went for a facial last week! It was fabulous, so I thought I would share my experience. Doesn’t it just look so inviting.
|Time to relax|
I’ve been going to Powder Beauty Boutique for years now, I love the look of it, the staff are lovely and there is a lovely atmosphere. That and the fact that it has a loyalty stamp card! So every time you visit you get a stamp. This counts as £10 towards any of the treatments offered, from nails, to waxing, or in my case a full facial!
Now on to the facial. It was so relaxing, I went for a rebalancing Full Facial which lasted 55 minutes. As you probably already know I’m getting married in a few months and it is generally recommended to up your skin care in the run up to your wedding – not necessarily trying new products, which I’m guilty of! So because I of my trialling of new products, my skin was in bad shape. That and the stress of trying to keep up with everything – work, wedding, youtube, blog. Well you get the general idea! You’ve probably seen in my No7 Beautifully Matte foundation review that my main problem area was my chin (although it looked worse in the flesh than in the pictures!).
My beauty therapist used Eve Taylor products. I’m not exactly sure which ones she used, but I’m guessing they were the products aimed at combination skin types. I was wearing a full face of makeup when I arrived, so that was removed with a cleanser. Then an oil type product was used. Then more cleansing and massaging. When she applied the face mask she gave me an arm and hand massage, which was just so lovely! Then it was all rinsed off and some more product application. I’m sorry I can’t be specific, I was too busy relaxing to ask what she was using when.
I didn’t wear any makeup the rest of the day or the day after, I thought it would be wise to continue giving my face a break. I did notice an improvement in my skin the next day, the redness was greatly reduced and the spots that were leaving anyway, left a bit quicker than normal. Which made me happy – which probably helped reduce the stress levels which in turn helped my skin even more!
All in all, I would recommend getting a facial in the run up to an event. I’m getting married in July, so I think I will have another facial before my wedding. It has helped my skin and the experience was just wonderful. Definitely an excellent treat and I would recommend Powder Beauty, I’m not sponsored by them at all, I just thought I’d share my experience.
