La Roche Posay Redermic R Review

La Roche Posay Redermic R, Eucerin SPF, Avene Moisturiser
I’ve been testing out La Roche Posay Redermic R retinol anti-aging treatment.  I’ve been using it for a few weeks, gradually increasing how often I use it.

I picked mine up from boots for £28.50* and you get 30ml.  You use it like a serum, so I cleanse my skin and use a toner, then I apply this all over my face avoiding my eye area. I generally use my Avene Skin recovery cream moisturiser after.  The Redermic R is quite thin in consistency and spreads really well over my face, absorbing quite quickly. It’s not heavy on my skin at all.

It claims that:

Fine lines and wrinkles appear reduced. Dark spots appear faded, as if corrected. Skin texture appears refined leaving it visibly smoother and more even-toned”

I can confirm that my skin tone has evened out, I have some scarring from spots and they have greatly improved.  I’m also getting less spots which is great!  My pores do seem less obvious and the area around my nose has smoothed. I started using it every third night for two weeks and I now use it every second night, it allowed my skin to adjust without causing any irritation.  It has 0.3% Retinol and 0.3% LHA, so it’s a nice gentle exfoliating treatment, I have quite sensitive skin and this didn’t cause any irritation.
