|Blue Look for Blue Eyes|
I’ve always been told never to wear blue eyeshadow as I’ve blue eyes. A year or so ago a MUA from Urban Decay told me it’s all in how you wear it. I decided to go with that option. This is one of the ways I wear blue eyeshadow!
I decided to add a pop of pink/purple to add a bit more fun! Below is all the makeup used.
I applied mac Painterly Paint Pot all over my lid. I put some scotch tape from the corners of my eyes to the end of my eyebrows to get a nice crisp line. I put Maybelline Color Tattoo* in Turquoise Forever in the centre third of my lid and elf eyeshadow stick in Like A Boss in the inner third and outer third of my lid. Once those colours were firmly in place I took Barry M’s Dazzle Dust in 78 over the color tattoo in the centre of my lid, then I took L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Midnight Blue (which I can’t find in the UK sorry) over the elf shadow stick. I used the warm brown shade from 17 Barely There* trio in my crease and then I used the palest shade from the Sleek iDivine Ultra Matte V1* eyeshadow palette from the crease up to my brows. I took the infallible eyeshadow from my tearduct to my lower lash line and smudged that towards the centre of my lower lash line, then placed the Barry M shadow in the centre, leaving the outer third blank.
I remove my tape to reveal a nice crisp line, then taking the purple shade from the Sleek palette I ran the line along the crisp line down to my lower lash line, I went over that with the pink shade next to it in the palette. I used Rimmel’s Kohl pencil* in Denim on the inner two thirds of my lower water line and all of my upper water line. I used Stargazer kohl pencil in 35 on the outer third of my lower water line. Now for mascara. I started with Too Faced Better Than Sex* mascara on my upper lashes, then layer Maybelline The Rocket Volum’* mascara over the top lashes and on my lower lashes. Finally I popped a wee bit of bareMinerals Flawless Definition in Aqua Blast on the tips of my top lashes (sorry it was limited edition).
So that’s it for this look, you can check out the video below to have a better look at how I actually applied everything!
