October Beauty Empties

October Beauty Empties
As always, I have a mix of hair care, skin care and makeup.  I’ve left out the regular repeats, for example, empty cotton pads and shaving foam.

Hair Care Empties
Let’s start with hair care.  I have an almost empty Pantene Volume & Body conditioner*, I didn’t really enjoy this, it really dried out my hair and my hair lost it shine.  So it’s for the bin.  From John Frieda I have the sheer Blonde go blonder shampoo & conditioner.  I did really enjoy both of these and I did notice some lightening of my hair in the summer months.  I would repurchase in future if I ever stop dying my hair.  From aussie I have a Take The Heat* 3 minute miracle conditioner.  This is a great conditioning treatment for my hair and leaving it soft & shiny.  I will undoubtedly purchase another deep conditioner from aussie, I really enjoy them.  From Jason I have two shampoo samples, an Aloe Vera and Sea Kelp.  I got these along with some other Jason samples at the Bloggers Tea Party and I will review all of them together in another post.  From a left over hair dying kit I have a caring shine conditioner.  I brought this with me when I was travelling, it was lovely being able to give my hair a treat while being away.

Skin Care & Makeup Empties
Now on to the skin care & makeup empties.  From Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic I have a full size and travel size.  I really enjoy this toner and I have repurchased quite often and will likely repurchase in the future.  I tried the Philosophy Purity 3 in 1 face cleanser*, unfortunately this didn’t work for me at all and dried my skin.  So I’m getting rid of the rest.  I have three face masks from Montague Jeunesse, two sheet masks: Dead Sea Mud Spa Clay Mask*  and Glacial Clay Mask* and a Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque*.  I preferred the two sheet masks and in particular the Glacial Clay Mask and have already repurchased.  From YSL I have the Forever Light Creator Serum* which is a skintone corrector.  I’ve had this for over a year and I have used up about two thirds, though now it is starting to smell a bit “funny”, off to the bin! You can see a full review of it here. I’ve kept in the cotton round pads from Tiger, just to tell you never to get them.  They’re very thin and not the best quality at all.

Now for makeup.  I finished up a travel size of Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray*, I have already repurchased a full size of this spray, love it.  I have used up a sample of the Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream*, I really enjoyed this BB cream and would definitely consider purchasing this when I’ve used up a few more BB Creams, so possibly by next summer I’ll be ready for a few BB Cream.  Finally I have a sample of the Dior Star foundation in 010.  I’ve already done a review of the foundation, I’m not the biggest fan so I’m getting rid of it.
