I was lucky enough to receive this as part of my goodie bag from the Bloggers Tea Party Meet Up, so I thought it might be fun to do a “first impressions” style post as it’s been a while!
This is retails at £8.99 for 30ml as is a light to medium coverage. You can see from the before/after pictures that is a medium coverage foundation, I went with a single layer all over and then a second layer around my chin – I’m having issues.
This is a dewy finish foundation, I set it with powder after the above picture. This feels very light on the skin and applies very easily with a buffing brush. This didn’t sink into my pores or cling to the odd dry patch. Over all I was really pleased with initial application, all my makeup went on nicely over the top. I was also impressed with the colour match, it’s actually pretty close! There are 12 shades available for this foundation and I am wearing the colour Shell, which is the lightest yellow toned foundation.
Unfortunately after 5 hours, most of this foundation had broken down. My face ended up a bit more “glowy” (oil slick face) than the After picture. My nose was red and my spots were definitely showing through. If you watch the video below I did attempt to blend in some of the creases that had appeared, I don’t think there was enough foundation left to blend it back it.
So a quick verdict. This doesn’t suit oily skin, definitely try if you have a drier skin type. I might retry it with a mattifying primer, if I the mattifying primer changes my mind or really improves the foundation I’ll let you know. If you’d like to see how it applies and what it looks like after 5hours, you can check out the video below.
