I recently went to the Hillarys Christmas Craft Event organised by Joe Blogs blogger network. We made a wonderful Christmas bauble and some bunting I intend to use all year round! Let’s discuss the event shall we.
The event itself was at Taj’s Tea Parlour in Brighton, which is a rather fabulous tea shop with excellent cakes, wide selection of tea and we were treated to some lovely biscuits on the day! There was a great mix of bloggers there too and we all got stuck in with creating our bunting after some brief instruction and some help from the lovely ladies at Make, Do & Trend. Unsurprisingly there were cameras out!
While the bunting was out drying (which some people actually tried to buy while they were outside drying off), we got started on the Christmas baubles.
The baubles involved lots of folding and pinning. For both projects we used material from the new blinds collection at Hillarys, they’ve also done a blog post about it here. I love the different colours and textures of the material, great for our crafting activities!
We also got a mini goodie bag with a scented candle, pen and pen drive. To be honest I was most excited about my bunting & bauble! The bauble is now hanging happily on my Christmas Tree and I’m sure you’ve probably seen the bunting in the background of my recent videos hanging on my mirror. I did do a bit of vlogging while I was there and popped it up on my weekly vlog channel.
