My current morning skin care routine has a few staple products alongside some newer products that I’m testing out.
I start off applying the Vichy Normaderm Deep cleansing purifying gel. I’ve done a full review of it here, I’m a fan. I apply it to dry skin before taking a damp face cloth to massaging it into my face using circular motions, ended by splashing my face with water. Once my face is dry I use Botanics Cleansing Toner* from the All Bright line on half a cotton pad. I tend to focus on any spots or areas that I can feel blemishes attempting to make an appearance, this is a light natural acid toner which just helps to brighten my face in the mornings. I like to use the other half of the cotton pad for the Vichy Pureté Thermale toner after the Botanics toner has dried. This helps to refresh my skin.
I’ve recently added the No7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum* to my morning routines. This is nice and light with a silicone feel to it. I’m still making my mind up on this before giving you a full review, it’s nice for now. I don’t currently have an anti-aging eye cream so I like to use the serum before the hydrating eye gel. I’m using a sample of the Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm*, I’m enjoying using it in the mornings as it’s quite cooling and refreshing. I’m not sure if I’d rush out to purchase a full size, I’m still making my mind up on it. Finally for my moisturiser I’ve been using the Aloe Soothing moisture lotion* from The Body Shop. I think I’ve found another moisturiser I love as much as my Avene moisturiser. This is lovely and soothing in the mornings and it has SPF15, it’s good to have some sort of SPF in the winter – even if I am only getting minimal sun exposure!
You can check out the video below if you want to see how I’ve applied everything.
