I’ve had this mascara for a while, I got it as part of my goodie bag from the Bloggers Tea Party and I’ve only now got around to testing it! Bag beauty blogger…my only excuse is that I have quite a collection of mascaras to test out.
This is the Makeup Revolution Amazing Volume mascara and is a bit of a bargain at £2. It has a bristle wand and is quite thick in consistency. It’s also a touch dry from the start, which I quite enjoy but I think it may dry out quickly. So the first picture below are my lashes, I’d already curled them.
Below is just one coat of mascara on my top lashes. I think it adds some volume, I would wear one coat if I was going for a soft day look. There are only a few small clumps, but I always comb my lashes through to even everything out get rid of the clumps.
I added a second coat on my top lashes after the first coat had dried a little, I also added some to the outer third of my lower lashes. I did have to work it through the ends of my lashes a bit to get a good coating. I think it does add some volume and even a bit of length.
This did wear well enough. I did get some smudging along my lower lash line and I wouldn’t recommend wearing on your lower lashes if you intend on wearing it for an entire day. I do like wearing it on my top lashes and it’s not bad for £2. It doesn’t irritate my eyes which a bonus. You will have to comb your eyelashes through to help separate them and check for clumps with two coats. Thankfully it doesn’t wait my lashes down so they don’t loose their curl.
