I’m currently on a much needed week long snowboarding holiday. For those of you that follow the vlog channel, you know I’ve an injury so I can’t really go snowboarding every day. So I thought it would be wise to bring a few things to occupy myself – I have the normal things like books, magazines and of course the internet with everything on it. I thought however it would be nice to give myself a nice mini pamper session while I’m at it!
So for my travelling manicure I have a few essentials I’d recommend. Of course a base coat – I’m still using the Avon Nail Experts Gold Strength* base coat, actually quite like this base coat. Plus whatever colours you want to paint your nails! I have two quite contrasting colours, Ciaté Paint Pot in Mistress and Maybelline Super Stay in Mint For Life*. Gives me the option for two manicures! I’m still using Seche Vite as my top coat, although I am slowly going off it, it become gloopy so quickly! Very frustrating.
Back to what’s in my manicure bag. The tools or accessories I thought would be wise to bring are some nail varnish remover. I have some Quickies Nail Varnish Remover Pads* for taking it all off, I’ve had this tub a while and they stay moist because of the seal. Some beauty fixation Nail Polish Touch-Up swabs for when I really mess up around the outside of my nail and the Barry M Nail Paint Correct Pen for those annoying wee smudges around my cuticle.
The prep tools I have are an orange stick, a 4-way nail buffer (from Tiger I think), a glass nail file and a pair of Tweezerman cuticle nippers* for any ragged edges.
All of that fits nicely into the smallish wash bag! I tend to keep all of these things in there while I’m not travelling too – apart from the colours. It’s just handy to grab if I want to do my manicure in a different room or if I want to take it all travelling!
So that’s it. I’m currently sitting with my red nails on and I’m contemplating switching it up for the mint colour now as it’s been a few days. If you’ve any questions please let me know.
