Touch Up Must Haves

makeup touch up must haves

We all have some beauty products we keep on hand, just for those emergency touch ups.  These are the products I keep on hand on a daily basis.

Let’s start with teh first thing I use, the boots skin clear oil absorbing sheets*.  These are great for getting rid of excess oil, meaning any concealing required should be easier.  To touch up my foundation, it needs to disappear off my nose, I use the Seventeen Phwoarr Paint in fair.  This is lovely and creamy, quite good coverage.  I did a review a while ago, you can check that out here.  To set the concealer and to help mattify things, I use the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot*.  This is a lovely finely milled powder and it has a tiny amount of coverage.   I use the ecotools Retractable Kabuki Brush* for lots of jobs.  To get rid of excess powder, to blend in blush and apply various products.  If I need to touch up any colour on my cheeks I try to grab a cream blush to pop in my bag.  In this case I have a Bourjois Cream Blush in 01 Nude Velvet.  I have a few of these and I swap them out, these are lovely and small and great for blush touch ups.  For lips I have two choices generally, a coloured balm or my lipstick.  I tend to swap out either the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector* or the No7 BB Lips, I did a comparison of these if you want more info.   They’re great if my lips are feeling a bit parched or I don’t fancy reapplying my lipstick.  I bring whatever lip product I’ve applied that morning, in this case it’s my mac cremesheen lipstick in Fanfare.  I like to bring a travel size of the Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray* to help refresh my makeup.  It gets rid of any cakey look and it sets any concealing I’ve done.

I tend to have some perfume sample with me, I have the Chanel Chance, it’s the last sample I have of this sadly.  I also have a Lush Solid Perfume in Vanillary, sadly they don’t seem to make these any more but they have a bottled perfume version.  For hair I have two hair elastics and some hairpins.  I also have a compact mirror, some cotton tips – multi use tools, cleaning up eyeshadow, mascara and general eye gunk, and a glass nail file.  Oh and some painkillers, just in case.

So those are the beauty products I keep in my handbag.  What are your essentials?
