An Evening at The Body Shop

The Body Shop Oils Of Life

I’ve been shopping at The Body Shop for quite some time and I recently got an invite to attend a members evening!  They’ve just released the new Oils of Life line and the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil* in particular had caught my eye.  So of course I said Yes to an evening of pampering, chatting and generally having a lovely old time of it!

We were greeted with a lovely glass of prosecco as we arrived, good start.  Then we pottered about for half an hour, my friend & I spent most of that time smelling things…that’s entirely normal in The Body Shop surely?  Although it did involve an incident of getting a bit too close to a moisturiser…I may have ended up with a blob of it on my nose…We were given a lovely talk all about the new oils of life line, including the intensely revitalising bi-phase essence lotion*, which seems interesting, you apply directly after cleaning and before toning.  There is also an Intensely Revitalising Cream* and Gel Cream*, both of which are lovely.  Along side all these products is also a Twin Ball Facial Massager, which was such fun to try out and I would actually consider purchasing it.  I normally give myself a massage at the end of the day, but I’ve got out the habit.  It will return!

Staff Talk

Once the talk was done, we had the option to have a facial massage using the new Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, have a hand massage using an oil from the also new Spa of the World line, or to have a makeup make-over.  I of course jumped at the chance to have a facial massage.  Once my makeup was removed it was on with the massage, it was thoroughly relaxing, I mean seriously.  Just what the doctor ordered at the end of a long day in work!  The scent of the oil is just wonderful, it really does remind me of a high end spa.  I’ve only been to one or two of those (more needed).  Obviously there was a fair amount of the oil used as it was a massage rather than normal application.  My skin looked radiant and after about 20 minutes the oil had entirely sunk into my skin leaving it looking and feeling soft and healthy.  My friend had the makeup make-over and was delighted with the results, I also sat chatting her while she had a hand massage done too, again the massage oils from the Spa of the World line smell amazing.  I’m incredibly tempted by the Japanese Camellia Cream*, it smells divine and is so fabulous to apply to the skin.

Spa Of The World

We were given a goodie bag with the All in One Universal Instablur primer*, Aloe Soothing Gel* and Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz*, not half bad!   I did pick up the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, I fell very much in love with it and cannot wait to play with it.  All in all it was a wonderful way to spend an evening.  All the women in the shop were so welcoming and we had great chats!  Mostly about books in the end.  I went home smiling and laughing with my friend.  I did some vlogging while I was at the event, so you can catch up with that on Sunday!

    1. I’ve already got an Instablur, think I’m going to save the new one for a wee give away. You should really should check out the face oils, they smell wonderful and have go many good things in them. I’ve not actually played with mine since, waiting until the weekend to take pictures & record a video…sad but true 🙂
