Classic Winter Look in a Hurry

Classic Winter Look

We all have those mornings when we have to get our face on in a hurry.  This is a classic winter look with minimal effort, I’ve been known to put this in on about 20minutes before dashing out the door, coffee in hand.  I just put some volumising spray in my hair and put it into a fish tail braid – well ya know, mermaid hair requires a fish tail braid surely!

I used No7 Instant Illusions primer all over my face with my hands and the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer* on my eyelids.  I popped some Dr Paw Paw ointment on my lips while I did the rest of my face.  I decided to go for a medium coverage foundation, using Dior Skin Nude foundation*.  I buffed it on with Real techniques buffing brush.  To brighten under my eyes I used a small amount NARS Radiant creamy concealer* near my tear duct, using my finger to blend it in.  I set my face with the Urban Decay De Slick Mattifying setting powder*.

I kept my eye simple using just the Urban Decay Naked Basics* palette.  I swept Walk of Shame all over the lid and used Naked 2 lightly in my crease, blending it out.  Using an angled eyeliner brush, I pressed Crave along my top lash line, keeping it close to my eyelashes.  I used a pencil brush to soften Crave bringing it lightly into my outer V.  I went in a second time with Crave, softening it out again.  To highlight beneath my brows I lightly swept Venus with a fluffy brush, just to brighten my eyes up a bit.  I used Jordana Best Lash Extreme volumizing mascara*, it defines my lashes adding a touch of volume.  I filled in my eyebrows with NYX micro brow pencil*, it has a spoolie on one end and a fine nib twist up pencil on the other.  Great for when you’re in a rush.

I decided to use Revlon Colorburst balm stain* in Crush, which is perfect for Autumn/Winter.  Also great for those rushed mornings.  For my cheeks I’ve used Sleek blusher in pomegranate, I used a small stipple brush to apply it as it is quite pigmented.  I swept Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light all over my face to add a nice awake glow to my skin.  I set my face with NYX matte finish setting spray*, just to keep everything in place throughout the day.

You can check out the video below to see how I applied everything.  What is your go to look for those rushed mornings? I tend to swap out the blush or lipstick to switch the look up and match whatever outfit I’m wearing that day.
