I got this Catrice Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation when I was in Galway, you would’ve seen it in my Irish Beauty Haul and I’ve been wearing it almost every day since! So a quick run down of the blurb:
The creamy texture of the Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation contains an SPF of 25 and offers medium to high coverage. A dermatological study confirms: after just 8 weeks of daily application, the Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation visibly brightens pigmentation marks.* The long-lasting, pampering texture also instantly covers colour irregularities and redness for a silky-matt, smooth skin tone. For a perfect, radiant complexion!
I wear the shade 005 Even Ivory, which is a really good match for my skin colour – bit of a rarity! Sadly there only seem to be 4 shades available, so not a great shade selection. To apply the foundation I tend to just dab it on all over my face, then I’ll take my real techniques complexion sponge to blend it all in. As you can see below, it is definitely a thicker creamy texture, as mentioned. No worry of this dripping off your hand mid application.
I think it offers a good medium coverage, almost up to full coverage if it is layered up. I generally tend to use 2 pumps all over my face and if I want a bit more coverage in areas, I’ll used a further half pump. I tend to still use a concealer to cover any blemishes and to brighten under my eyes. Below is a nice before and after – I’ve done in with the extra foundation to cover the blemishes around my chin.
This is quite a long wearing foundation. I have mainly normal skin, with an oily nose and a wee bit on my chin and forehead. I often apply my makeup at 7.30, making sure to set down the centre of my face. By around 12.30, it’s doing well with only slight breakdown around my nose and on my chin, I can easily dab it back into place. By 6.30, it’s still going strong, but again with some breakdown. Not bad at all.
All in all I really like this foundation. Thankfully it doesn’t cause any kind of irritation, which is great! It also has SPF25, handy! Although I would still apply normal SPF in the brighter months. It retails for €7,45 for 30ml, bargain! I also like that it comes in a frosted bottle with a decent pump. It wears really nicely on my skin, giving a nice luminosity without looking oily. It provides a nice amount of coverage and doesn’t crease too much. You should definitely check it out if you can!
