Finally Spring has started to peep through, there have definitely been a few sunny days anyway! I’m starting to feel more in the mood for Spring and my makeup has reflected that. I’ve been wearing this look quite a bit, it’s just so handy to pop on in the mornings when I’m in a rush out the door. It takes me about 10mins to get it done and I look more awake and generally a bit healthier. The magic of a bit of makeup 🙂
I primed my face with the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch*, mainly down the centre of my face, basically any oil prone areas. I also like to prime my eyes at the same time, so I used the mac Painterly Paint Pot*. For foundation I used the GOSH Foundation Drops in 002, I just gave this a good shake and applied it with my hands. It blends in really nicely and only takes a few minutes to apply. I still need a bit of extra coverage on a few blemish scars, for that I have the Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit* in Porcelain. Again I just used my fingers and it blended in really easily. I used the Flormar Perfect Coverage Concealer under my eyes. I did use a small domed brush to blend this in initially and then patted it into place with my finger. I did set the centre of my face and any concealer with the Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder.
On my eyes I used the third shade from the right in the IsaDora Eye Color Bar Nude Essentials* palette. It’s a lovely shimmery cool pink, it’s great for brightening up the eyes. I just applied this with a fluffy shadow brush, blending as I went. For mascara I used the Catrice 3D Lash Multimizer waterproof mascara. Sadly there is still the chance of rain at the minute, so thought I should be sensible! I filled in my eyebrows using the Catrice Eye brow Stylist pencil in Date with Ash-ton. Still thoroughly enjoying using this pencil. I set my brows using the Collection Colour Lash* clear mascara.
On my cheeks I went with Benefit Dandelion blusher*, it’s perfect for Spring. I also used a bit of highlighter! Surprise! I went with the Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder in Light Infusion. Another product I very much love. I used this on my cheeks, a wee bit down my nose, forehead and a touch on my cupid’s bow. I generally like to keep my lips nude-ish when I’m wearing this sort of makeup. So I went with the Flormar Waterproof lipliner in No.229, this is a wonderful warm nude on me. I topped it off with the L’Oreal Mega Gloss in Protest Queen, which is much more of a creamy nude. It balances the pencil nicely and ties in with the overall glowy look. I then set my face with the L’Oreal Infallible fixing mist*.
That’s it! I’m looking more awake and I’m ready to head out the door to work. Minimal fuss. Most of these products will wear well throughout the day, some blotting may be required and of course gloss touch-ups but that’s about it! I think this is a great go to look for work or if you’re just in a rush out the door. Great for Spring. If you’ll like to see how I’ve put it all together you can check out the video below.
