A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to get invited along to the Salon Success Jingle & Mingle in Hotel Du Vin in Brighton not too long ago. It was an intimate evening, with only a few bloggers attending, thankfully I knew almost all of them. Win! As you can see it was a sit down meal and each place setting had a different Paul Mitchell set, I was delighted to see that mine was aimed at coloured hair – especially as I’ve just recoloured it. Also, I may have been a bit excited that my place setting had my Honestly Aine name card….yep…I was squeaking on the inside.
As we had our dinner, the lovely ladies with Salon Success filled us in on the new releases coming soon! I may have also got a bit carried away with the props from the girls…I’m a big child really, it was all the festive feels! So let’s talk all the shiny new things shall we?
I got the Paul Mitchell Make it Vibrant gift set – I’ve tested the shampoo & conditioner and I’m loving them. So if you’re stuck, grab a set for that last minute present, there are lots of different set available. It’s aimed at restoring your hair and keeping the colour bright. Love. Expect more of a review soon.
The Paul Mitchell Scalp Care, anti-thinning shampoo, conditioner and treatment are to be released in early 2017! Again, I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner, both of which are great and I alternate them with the Make it Vibrant set. My hair tends to break, all the bleaching and colouring has left it weak sadly. So if I can help with all of that, win.
I may be a bit in love the the L’avoly The Special One, it’s a 10 in 1 treatment. It is wonderful, it detangles, heat protects, split end prevention, shine boosting, frizz control, moisturising, colour save, sale & chlorine protection, UV protection and helps facilitate brushing and styling. In other words, it’s magic. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying using this every time I wash my hair.
From CiD Cosmetics we got a tub of gold highlighting gold dusting powder. All of the gold things! This is a great powder, especially as I’m getting more and more into my highlight and just generally all the fun makeup looks. Lastly we got a fancy barrel brush with a magnetic end! I have been randomly sticking it to my radiator and other metal objects. Handy though.
All in all we had a wonderful evening, I did manage to to take a snap of my main dish and rather delicious sorbet. Such fun with the girls, there was Lyndsay from Fizzy Peaches, Laura from Lola and Behold, Tania from Tee Bee Blog, Sophie from Sophie Rose and Rosie from Everything’s Rosie. A rather excellent bunch of girls that you need to go check out.
