GRWM | Testing Out New Products- It Cosmetics, Anastasia, Tarte and lots more

I’ve been testing out my lovely new makeup from my USA Haul, so of course I had to share the results with you!  You can see the before an after below, yes I know the after photo is slightly blurry…no idea what happened there, we won’t talk about it.  You can always watch the video below to see how I’ve applied what.  For now, let’s walk through it.

Base

I used the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream, yes it is worth all the hype.  It’s become a bit of a go-to basic, it even made it to Iceland with me.  I’ve the shade fair.  I also popped some mac painterly paint pot all over my eyelids as a base. For under eye concealer I went with the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. Ive the shade fair and to be honest I think it’s a touch grey on me, a wee bit too light, but once blended out and set, it’s grand. I set my face with the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores pressed powder – it’s become a staple in my makeup.

Eyes

For my eyes I kept it relatively simple.  I swept the nude shade from the Catrice Eyes Wide Matte palette all over my lid to set down painterly.  Then I took Destiny from the Anastasia Subculture palette, into my crease and blended it out.  Make sure you tap off your brush when you use these shadows, although they’re buttery smooth, there is serious fallout.  I think next time I use them, I’ll do my foundation after.

Over the moving part of my lid I used Tigers Eye – which is the pale gold/chartreuse shade.  It was more gold than I wanted – I think I should’ve used Electric from the Subculture palette, I’ll know for next time. Of course I blended as I went.  I also took this shade along my lower lash line.

I decided to smoke it out a wee bit and used Rowdy in my outer V, bringing it into the crease and on the outer third of my lower lash line.  Using only a small amount on a tapered blending brush. I added a touch of liquid liner along the outer two thirds on my top lash line with the Jordana Cat Eye Liner – which I’m a bit in love with to be honest.  I added Physicians Formula Organic Wear mascara to my top and bottom lashes, making sure to layer it on for a wee bit of drama.  For my eyebrows I went with a favourite, the NYX Micro brow in Taupe.

Face & Lips

For blush I used my Tarte Amazonian clay blush in Exposed – utterly love this blush, it’s a perfect everyday blush for me.  I didn’t have a highlighter on hand, so I used Cube from the Subculture palette, worked a treat.  I finished off with Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit in Rebel Rose on the lips.

Quite a simple look, it was just fun to get to play with my new makeup to be honest!   You can check out the video below to see how I created it all and for a bit of a chat too.  Let me know if you’ve any questions!
