ModelsOwn Velvet Goth Collection Review & Swatches

ModelsOwn Velvet Goth
So I may be slightly in love with these nail polishes.  They’re the Velvet Goth collection from ModelsOwn.  I have four out of the five colours, I already own a red glitter polish and couldn’t make the argument for getting a second one.  So I originally bought Goth Absinthe – the green shade, after wearing this for about a week I had to go and get more!

The wear really, really well.  I apply my normal base coat and put two coats of my selected colour, this tends to last me the best part of 5 days.  Which I’m utterly delighted with – especially as I tend to use my nails a lot.  For when you do chip the ends, you can easily repair the ends without much hassle.

These have a textured finish due to the glitter – so it makes it easy to repair any chipping on the ends of your nails, you can’t see the join!

I really love the fact that there is a matte finish with these polishes.   The black one is the only polish that doesn’t have a particularly opaque base coat, so two coats definitely needed.  The other polishes you could possibly get away with wearing one thick coat.
(L-R) Goth Absinthe; Obsidian; Valerian; Amethyst
These normally retail for £5 14ml, however most places tend to do deals.  I picked mine up in boots and if you bought two ModelsOwn products you got a limited edition polish free!  So when I bought three of them I got one free. Bargain.

I cannot recommend these enough.
