Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer Review!

Maybelline The Eraser Concealer!

So I have been testing this out for quite some time, I wanted to give it a thorough testing.  I have to say this is going to be another mixed review.

This retails for £7.99 and you can pick it up from boots or Superdrug.  It has a sponge tip applicator (I was very proud of myself for remembering to take a picture before I started using it).  You twist up the red section just below the sponge to get the product up.   I actually quite like the way this applies the concealer – although the sponge looks very grubby after a few uses.

I would say this has medium to light coverage.  I bought this in the hope that it would cover the bluey/purplely-ness I get in close to my tear duct.  It can get very dark, unfortunately this didn’t really cover it and I had to layer this up and then put another concealer over the top.  If you don’t get very discoloured, this may not be an issue for you at all.  Another issue I have is that it is too dark for me, I have the concealer in Light, which is the lightest I could find.  As you can see on the back of my hand (above), it’s quite yellow toned.  The skin on my face is a very similar shade to my hand, so unless I have a bit of a tan, this is too dark for me and I have to lighten it up with another concealer/highlighter.  So not ideal.

On the plus side, this doesn’t crease under my eyes at all really.  So that is a feat all by itself!  So if you have issues with concealer creasing under your eyes (I do), this concealer may be the concealer for you.   This also doesn’t irritate my skin at all and generally works well over my skin.

So all in all, I like this product, it’s just a shame it isn’t as opaque as I would like or as light as I need.  I think it’s decent value for money as it will last an absolute age.
