So I bought this around christmas time when I’d finished up my beloved La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. I could find a replacement in the shops, so decided to try this out. I’m so glad I did. It has replaced the Effaclar Duo in my heart. I’m totally in love.
“Calming cream specifically designed for naturally sensitive skin (fair, thin, prone to redness), or skin which has become sensitised due to climatic conditions, excessive cleansing, drying cosmetic or dermatological treatments. It quickly calms irritation, helps restore the hydrolipidic film and provides long-lasting protection. Its formula has been specially developed with a minimum of ingredients, all selected for their gentleness. Free from paraben, fragrance and colouring agents.”
I picked this up from boots for £12.50, which is a wee bit expensive for 40ml. However, once I started using it, I knew I would forever repurchase. I mentioned it in my Winter Skin care post and I can confirm that it has definitely helped my skin recover from my attempts at stripping it of all the good stuff. It is really moisturising without being heavy on my skin. I have to be careful with my moisturisers as I do have sensitive skin and if my moisturiser is even slightly heavy, it will break my skin out! So it has been a problem finding a cream that suits my skin. This however, no issues and it has helped to clear up my breakouts and dry patches! Winner all round.
You don’t need to use very much of this product, (I was actually slightly gutted when I popped out a wee bit too much for the photo below). A tiny pea sized amount covers my whole face. Which is impressive. It also means that it lasts that wee bit longer. I think I’ve at least another week left in my tube and I went through a phase of using it twice a day at the start when my skin really needed it. Generally I only use it once a day now – in the mornings. This helps my skin stay nice and soft throughout the day and my makeup applies well over the top.

Not much else to say. It’s love.
