Benefit “that gal” Brightening Face Primer

Benefit “that gal”
I’ve had this primer for quite some time, in fact this is the second one I’ve owned!  This retails for £22.50 and you get 11G of product.  After seeing my friend’s beautiful complexion and quizzing her on the products she was using, I discovered this was the product responsible!  I went out and bought it shortly there after.  I have only recently rediscovered it and fallen in love with it – all thanks to my Project 10 Pan!

What the Website Says:

“Our silky pink primer takes your complexion from dull to darling!  Simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin.  Contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & camomile to soothe skin.”

My Thoughts

This is quite a versatile product, although I generally don’t use it as a primer!  I will put it over the top of my oil control primer – it does not control oil unsurprisingly!  I can wear it by itself on good skin days over a oil control primer and my skin just has a nice radiant glow.  I also mix this in with my foundations, particularly the fuller coverage foundations as they can sometime leave your skin looking quite flat.  I have also been known to wear it under my foundations, again just to add more of a glow to my face.  Finally I use it as a highlighter, concentrating on the tops of my cheeks, my forehead and down my nose etc.  So as you can see, it’s a multi use product! It’s a pinky/peach creamy product, not too thick, not too thin – reminds me of the consistency of a light day time moisturiser.

This is lovely and light on the skin, it doesn’t cause any irritation – considering the beautiful scent, I am always worried that if a product smells good it may break me out.  This doesn’t.  It smells divine and really reminds me of summer (probably as that’s when I first discovered it!).

I also really like the packaging you just twist up from the bottom and the product comes out of the holes in the top, I always give it a second swipe on the back of my hand to get all of the product for that twist out!  This product has lasted me longer than it should have.  The packaging has two lids, which is great. as the smaller clean helps to keep the exposed holes clean from dust or any other dirt that it might otherwise attract.  It has a 6 month expiry and that’s the main reason it’s in my Project 10 Pan, it’s definitely about to expire!

I will likely repurchase this product when I’ve used up a few others that are in need of testing.  I have already repurchased once after all!
