Outfit Of the Day: Splashes of Colour

So the sun has been making an attempt to reappear, which has inspired me to add more colour to my outfits! This is how I add colour to what would normally be a grey, simple..well plain outfit!  I wore this to work.

From the top down, I’m wearing a grey clingy jumper from H&M, it’s a few years old and no longer available, you can shop similar at the bottom of this post.  I’ve a darker grey bodycon skirt on from Marks & Spencer, I’ve had it since last winter.  I decided to go for some fabulous yellow/mustard tights, no idea where I bought these, but I’m sure New Look, H&M or various other shops will stock yellow tights!  My shoes are a patent leather pair of Hamble brogues from Clarks.

Let’s take a closer look at the accessories, I’ve used these to add some more colour!
Bracelets & Watch
Necklace & Earrings

I bought these bracelets from Very, they’re the brand Angel, unfortunately they’re no longer in stock.  With summer on it’s way there are now plenty of colourful options to choose from instead though!  My watch is Armani Exchange, Active Chronograph in Rose Gold.  I always tend to have a hairband on my wrist, this one is from superdrug (annoyingly they’re not on the website).

I love my little Owl necklace, you’ve likely seen these everywhere.  My earrings are from a stall in Brighton a while ago, I’m sure you could find similar on etsy.   I think because I’ve used lots of little splashes of colour that it’s easier to mix metals.  It all adds to the outfit!

Finally for Top Layers

Trench & Hat
To finish my outfit I’ve added a grey woolly beanie (it actually belongs to my OH).  My trench coat is Love Label from Very – again no longer available.

So that’s my splash of colour!

Shop Similar

I thought it might be useful if I gathered together similar items on polyvore, so for those items no longer available (most of my outfit), you can create a similar look with these items!
