Revlon Nail Art Chalkboard

Revlon Nail Art Polka dots
I bought this months ago and because of my rather large collection of nail polish, well it got lost in my collection a bit and I never really got around to using it.  So as part of my recent motivation to test out and use my makeup products I’ve also been delving into my nail polish collection!

This retails for £7.99 from boots, I would say it’s the same from most retailers, I just picked mine up from boots.  Anyway, as you can see I went for the standard polka dots, really I should’ve done stripes.  The effect wasn’t too bad though right?  I have the colour Home Coming.

My thoughts

I like this, the black is matte and is almost opaque after a single coat, so I’d say you could get away with a single thick coat.  The lighter lilac colour also has great pigmentation and I didn’t need to go over any of my dots.  This lasted about 3 days without chipping and that was without a top coat!  Pretty good going I reckon.  The black brush is a bog standard round brush while the lilac side has a vastly slimmer brush, making it easy to draw a nice pattern.  I really do wish I’d done some stripes – next time.  I think it would be very easy to accomplish with this brush.  All in all I think this is a great nail art tool for novices like myself.  Worth a wee look!
