June’s favourites is a mix of makeup, skin care slash body care and a few lifestyle favourites. Let’s jump in with the skin care, slash body care.
|Makeup & Skin Care Favourites|
For skin care I have two favourites, the Waxperts Ingrown Hair Pads and Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter from Lush. I’ve noticed a great improvement with my ingrown hairs, I use these pads along my bikini line between waxes and my under arms between shaves. You need to wait 12hrs after waxing/shaving before using. I’ve done a review here if you want more information. My nails have become quite dry and are still peeling slightly so I’m trying to get better at using my nail products. I’ve been using the Lemony Butter Cuticle Butter from Lush on a regular basis and I’ve noticed my nails are less dry and hopefully they should improve over the next week or so.
Now on to makeup. I’ve been enjoying the combination of the Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum face primer and Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in 10 Beige. I’m not the biggest fan of the Bourjois primer but it has been working well on my T-Zone underneath the Chanel foundation. This foundation is more of a dewy finish, so I get a glowy look without looking oily. I got a sample of the Ren BB cream in the BBBlogger “The Dream Box” from Latest In Beauty and I’ve really enjoyed using it. It evens out my skin tone providing light coverage, it doesn’t irritate my skin and has SPF. I’d definitely consider purchasing a full size at some point in the future.
If you’ve been reading my recent lifestyle posts on my weightloss journey and my bid to improve my eating habits. I’ve been making fruit smoothies using my Blend Active blender. I picked this up from Amazon*, I think you can also pick it up from Asda. It’s really easy to use and clean, it has no problems with frozen fruit or ice, so it’s actually be very simple to whip up a smoothie in the morning before work. I have noticed an improvement in my skin because I’ve been having more fruit & water. Another drink that’s maybe less healthy is this coffee that I picked up from TK Maxx a few weeks ago. It’s a Hazelnut flavoured coffee from Coffee Confections. I drink my coffee black and this coffee is great because I don’t need to use sugar. I try not to drink too much coffee though.
So that’s it for this month’s favourites. Let me know if you’ve any questions, you can check out the video below for a closer look at any of the products.
