I mentioned in my last post that I had definitely put on weight since my wedding, I noticed it in my clothes. I still notice it to be honest. I was gradually eating better and drinking more water but not putting in much effort and still having a bit too much chocolate and pizzas and my portion sizes are still a bit big…. This morning I got a rude awakening. I got a glimpse of myself in the mirror while getting dressed. My squishy tummy that I always have sucked in was sagging, my thighs looked a bit too dimply for my liking – I generally have rather good legs, so this annoyed me most. Either way I was shocked at the shape of myself. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of my body and the fact that it does so much, I just need to stop filling it with rubbish.
So this was a rather good kick up the rear! I’m even more determined now. Throw in the fact that we have booked our holiday to the Maldives at the end of April 2015, I want to be able to wear a bikini and not be self conscious the entire time.
So let’s chat exercise and how that’s going. I have some issues with injury so I’m easing up on some training but I’m able to do other exercises to balance it out. I’ve also booked a phsyio appointment next week, so hopefully I’ll be fighting fit in no time!
I’m going to continue dance training on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays hopefully – I’d be happy with at least two of those days. Again being aware of my injury and not overworking my knee too much, I’ve a competition on the 25th & 26th October and I need to be able to dance a wee bit at least. Aside from my dancing I will have Pilates on Tuesday lunchtime. So I’m thinking either more Pilates or an exercise video on Tuesday evenings at home and a yoga workout on the weekend.
I’m hoping life will get into some sort of routine again soon, it’s all been a bit up the left! In the meantime I’m going to start working on eating smaller portions and generally getting my eating/drinking in order!
