Giovanni Shampoo & Conditioner

I got these two travelled sized Shampoo & Conditioner by Giovanni as part of my goodie bag from The Bloggers Tea Party.  I used these before I dyed my hair.

They’re both fro Eco Chic Technology line for damaged hair.  The shampoo* claims,
” Luxurious lather soothes dry, chemically processed hair.  Cleanses gently for manageable smoothness.  Calms unruly hair to alleviate frizz.  Increases shine while smoothing dry or damaged hair and it’s lauryl and laurether sulfate free.”

First I should point out that although my hair wasn’t overly damaged, it was starting to feel the strain of my new curling wand, leaving my hair feeling drier than normal.  The shampoo did leave my hair feeling clean and quite soft and lathered up really well meaning you don’t need very much.  Combined with the conditioner my hair did start to recover.

The conditioner* claims,
“Detangle your mane with this silkening conditioner that renews and readies hair for your style.  Infuses deep moisture for manageable smoothness.  Detangles while protecting against split ends.  Calms unruly hair to alleviate frizz.  Increases shine while smoothing dry or damaged hair.”

I don’t struggle with tangled hair after the shower really, it combs through fine.  Again like the shampoo, the conditioner did leave my hair feeling softer and it was definitely less “fluffy” than normal.

I did like the combination of these two however, after using them back to back for a week or so, I did start to get a bit of build up on my hair making it less shiny.  I used clarifying products get rid of it, so these would be a good to alternate with other products.  All in all i did like these and would consider checking them out in future.  For now I’m using hair products specifically for colour treated hair.

Have you used any products from Giovanni?  This is my first encounter with them, so I’d love to know what you thought of any of the other products available.
Thanks for reading!
