I don’t know about you but I’m terrible for making excuses for not doing face masks more regularly. So the other night while chilling out with my husband, playing games in fact, I quickly nipped to the bathroom and gave my face a light scrub using the Gentle Refiner* from Clarins, I’m not entirely sold on this but it’s not too abrasive and my skin needed a bit of a scrub to be honest. I then popped on the last of my GlamGlow mask, this is a sample I’ve been saving for when my skin was in woeful condition. I went with this mask because I knew I could leave it on a bit longer than recommended. So I didn’t have to worry about any irritation but I got a really deep cleanse.
Once my face mask had thoroughly dried out, I felt vaguely like The Thing when I attempted to move my face. I used a face cloth to remove it all, my skin felt so soft and smooth (and still does a few days later). To combat any dryness I put on a thick – ish layer of Origins Drink Up 10 minute mask*. I used some cotton squares to remove whatever was left of the mask about 10 minutes, again I don’t keep my eye on the clock when I’m doing these things.
I try to fit in face masks when I’m doing all sorts about the flat, including the ironing or washing the bathroom! So I’m going to make more of an effort to remember to do them. Are you like myself? Rubbish at remembering to keep up with your face masks.
