Proper Pamper Session

Not too long ago I went through how I tend to do a Pamper in a Hurry, for once I finally had time to give myself a proper full on pamper session.  Hair, Face & Nails!

I started my chilled out Sunday morning by washing my hair over the bath before adding my Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Mask*, once my hair was pinned up out of the way I ran myself a bath. I used up the last of my Quintessentially English bath salts which are lovely and fresh but soothing, along with a far amount of the Kneipp Enjoy Life Bath*.  This was a lovely uplifting start to my day.  Of course a candle burned in the background as I enjoyed my soak while reading a few yoga magazines!  So once I’d soaked for long enough and washed, I rinsed my hair mask out and let my hair air dry.

Now for the face!  I gave my face a bit of a scrub with the Clarins Gentle Refining Exfoliating Cream*, this isn’t too coarse but I’m still not sold on it.  Then I applied the Bellápierre Exfoliating Facial Peel all over my face before massaging it in to get the exfoliating effect.  First time using this mask, jury is still out.  It’s definitely very different to anything I’ve used before.  I then got on with the rest of my morning skin care routine.

After having a few hours of faffing about, eating nice found and reading books or magazines while listening to music, (I did do a few loads of washing but nothing too stressful), I thought I’d paint my nails.  Now you may notice two nail polishes in the above picture…I only used one in the end.

I used the Avon Expert Gold Strength* as my base coat followed by two coats of e.l.f. Black nail polish.  I forgot how opaque this polish is!  So after the two coats I really liked the look of it, so kept it plain – I was going to add some gold nail art.  Next time.  I used Seche Vite as my top coat.

So that was my day of gradually pampering myself.  I include the chilling out reading and listening to music as part of the pamper – it was so nice not rushing about doing anything or having to work, or do blog/youtube stuff.  It’s important to turn the TV and computer off every now and then!  You can check out the video below to see how I did various things, including clean up my nails….still not as tidy as I would like when I apply my polish.

How do you relax and pamper yourself?  Long walks? Any good magazine or book recommendations?  I’m currently getting into Spotify and listening to some great relaxing playlists, again if you have any playlists you thoroughly enjoy, I’d love to hear about them.

Thanks for reading!
