Simple, Minimal Makeup!

Recently I’ve been favouring simple, minimal makeup for work.  I’ve generally been a touch unwell, so I’ve either not had the time, or just not felt like wearing much.  So this is pretty much my go-to look with a touch of shimmer (remember that daytime spotlight look I did…well I’m still on that train).  So let’s dive in!

As you can see I’ve kept my base really simple.  No primer, just straight on with the Ginvera Tea Tree Nude BB Cream*.  I primed my eyelids with mac Painterly Paint Pot.  Once I’ve left the BB Cream left to settle a bit, I add my blush.  I’ve gone with Josie Maran Coconut Cheek Gelée in Pink Escape, I used a stippling brush to blend it out a bit and then used my fingers to soften the edges a bit.  Back to eyes.  I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe all over the moving part of my eyelid, I put on a coat or two – doing right and then left and repeat.  I then blended my crease out, then added a bit more colour because I’d lost some of the pigmentation.  I popped some of 17 single shadow in Gold Emerald (sadly I can’t find this online anymore! I have seen then in store still though).

I then applied some Lancome Hypnose Volume* mascara.  For brows I brushed them through and then used the L’Oreal Prefection Brow Artist Plumper* to add some colour and shape.    I decided at this point I needed some concealer.  I used my NARS Radiant Creamy* concealer very lightly under my eyes and covered my blemishes with Seventeen Phwoarr Paint*.  So very like my rushed mornings, I decided to brighten my eyes using Rimmel Scandal Eyes Nude pencil along my waterline.

I then set my face using my Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder* along my t-zone and tops of my cheeks.  Finally for lips, I used Jordana Twist & Shine balm stain in Honey Love.

So that’s it, pretty simple!  If you’ve any questions please shout!  If you’d like to see all that in action, you can check out the video below!
