This month has clearly been about the lips! Probably because they were the most purchased…Anyway we shall start with those.
The Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque* in 01 is wonderful, it’s a lovely creamy gloss that adds a nice hint of colour to my lips. I have the shade 01 which is a nice peachy toned nude colour. It doesn’t really last too long on my lips, but it’s a joy to apply and it wears away well – now balling up or patchiness. Next are two products that I’ve mentioned recently in a dupe post – the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 01and the No7 BB Lips in Blink Pink. These are very much the same thing, they are a creamy glossy balm for your lips. Really like both and they generally tend to live in my handbag for touch ups throughout the day. Another glossy product is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL* in Pinkwell , again this is something that appeared in a recent post – A Face of Impressions. I’ve actually got very used to the zingy, tingly feeling and enjoy it! Be ware of the gloop, this can get slightly gloopy, so just keep that in check and it’s fine. The final lip product is the Revlon ColorStay Matte Balm in Sultry, this is very much a “my lips but better” shade. It leaves a lovely stain and I can pop a gloss over the top if I fancy. This is only the second matte balm I own, I may have to check a few more out!
For cheeks I have two favourites. The Max Factor Creme Puff Blush* in Seductive Pink, there is a reason everyone is raving about these blushes. I chatted about this in the A Face of Impressions post, it adds such a nice flush of colour and highlight, it leaves my skin looking lovely and healthy. Love it! The second blush is a cream blush in Candy Floss from the Sleek Sweet Cheeks Blush By 3 palette, which was from the limited edition Candy collection. I’ve dug this out again recently and love the colour on my cheeks, be warned, this is highly pigmented, use a light hand. Sadly this is hard to get a hold of, but ebay might be the answer!
The last products are brow products. The Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint & Pencil*, I love it for the tint. It helps me attain a better shape with my brows. Not that bothered by the pencil – I think I should investigate a pomade in future but for now, I’m loving the tint. Again chatted about this in the A Face of Impressions post, so you can see it in action there. The last product is the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper*, both of these brow products are in the darkest brown. I love the colour of this product, I love the way it sets my brows in place, it so easy to use and it adds a bit more texture to my brows. I did a comparison of a few different brow gels recently here, you can see a close up there.
One product I manage to forget to include in the photo – the No7 Midnight Lash Mascara. I love the shape of the wand and the way it applies. It’s quite a creamy consistency and it layers up well. This also featured in the A Face of Impressions post, so you can see the wand there. Sorry, I was distracted by Sunday Roast!!!
So that’s it for another month! You can check out the video below if you fancy.
