I was sent these lovely decals from Charlies Nail Art to try out, so I thought it about time for a fresh manicure! Bit of a bad blogger there, not taking pictures before using the product!
I’ve never used water decals before and I was so surprised at how easy they were to use! I just cut out a square around the decal, you can see the edges of them, so no panic of cutting them. Then soak the square in some warm water for a good 30 seconds…I may have left them in a wee bit longer. I gave it a wee shake, the I used my finger to take the decal off – it almost just peels off the paper onto your dry finger. Then with some tweezers I positioned the decal on my nail and dabbed off the excess water with a tissue. As my nails are still a bit short I used some nail scissors to trim the edges. They stuck in place pretty quickly and I used my current top coat – the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri*. You can see where I’ve layered two, this did not cause any issues.
I really like the contrast between Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy* in All or Nothing, you can really see the detail of the feathers! There are different sized feathers so you can find a size that suits you. Really pleased with how this all turned out, it’s perfect for spring!
