OK so another haul, what can I say? I am weaning myself off my spending habits but I needed some makeup for my kit as I’d a few jobs and I also needed some makeup for me…. Let’s start with the stuff I needed for my kit
I needed false lashes, so I went with a pack of Pro-Lash Short, Medium & Long Length individual lashes* from Eyelure as well as a 3 pack of Volume Lashes*. I finally laid hands on the clear Duo Strip Lash glue*, it’s taken a while to find some in stock! Now let’s talk palettes. I have the Makeup Revolution Ultra 32 Shade Palette Flawless Matte*, which you can see I’ve used and I’m liking it thus far, although it is a bit powdery. The second palette from Makeup Revolution is the Ultra Cover & Conceal Palette in Light – Medium. Again I’ve used this on a few jobs and I like it thus far, I need to test it a bit more on me for wear time etc. For mascara I’ve been sing the Maybelline Lash Sensational and it seems to work fine on everyone. I also have a clear mascara from Collection Colour Lash* line, good for brows or just as a clear mascara! To colour brows I’ve a number of pencil & gel combos. I have the dark blonde and soft brown Maybelline Master Shape Brow* pencils and the dark blonde and dark brown in the Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel*. For eyelid primer I thought I’d try the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer*, I’m not entirely sure on this one, I’ll report back soon. Lastly for my kit I got the Collection Sheer Loose Powder*, this is great to put under eyes to help catch any fall out, once done you can easy brush away the excess powder.
OK now onto the stuff just for me!
Soap & Glory were having a 3 for 2, so I decided to try out a few items I had my eye on. The first is the Kick Ass Concealer*, the light version. I’ve been having concealer issues recently, skin is up the left! I also needed another setting powder – one for home, one for bag, so I decided to try One Heck Of A Blot*. I’ve never tried one of the Lid Stuff* eyeshadow palettes from Soap & Glory, so I went with the Off The Wallflowers. I need a new eyelid primer (poor mac painterly paint pot is dying) so I’m trying out the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer*, so far so good! I’ll report back. I’ve very much fallen in love with my Bourjois Aqua Laque* in 01, so I decided it would be wise to try another one, this time I’ve gone with 08, which is more baby pinky toned. The last thing I picked up was a Clearasil Rapid Action Pads. I got these for my bikini line – I’ve been using waxperts for a very long time and recently ran out, I’ve had someone leave a comment for me before saying the Clearasil did the same thing. So I thought I should test it out and let you know! Plus they’re a bit cheaper, winner!
