I can’t believe we’re at the end of July, it has absolutely flown by, we had our first wedding anniversary, I finished my first month at my new job and I’ve been buying more beauty products! So let’s talk my random new favourites shall we?
I have been absolutely loving my shiny new Canon G7X*. It’s been so handy to record my vlogs as well as taking excellent pictures. It’s just so compact and useful! Best investment. Another excellent investment, my fabulous A5 planner from Paperchase, frustratingly it is no longer available online, but I’m sure it might still be in store. If not, check out some of their other planners. It has been so good having everything in one place, my blog notes, schedule, diary, other life stuff. It’s also much nicely having to only carry one book instead of two.
For makeup I have a bit more a mix this month. The Makeup Revolution Ultra 32 Shade Palette Flawless Matte* has been a definite favourite this month. It took me a wee while to warm up to this palette, it lacks a good warm toned brown but once I got past that I realised what a great palette it is. The eyeshadows have a lovely texture and decent pigmentation and for £8 it’s hard to beat! Expect a review very soon with all the swatches. Another eyeshadow palette I’ve been thoroughly enjoying, is the Soap & Glory Lid Stuff in Off The WallFlowers*. They are lovely creamy, pigmented eyeshadows. I actually did an Everyday Makeup Look recently using both of these palettes, so you can see the end results much clearer there if you fancy.
It has been all about the coral lip shades this month! From the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids* line I have a coral toned pink bright lipstick in Shocking Coral. Such an epic bright lipstick, love it! Although we warned it will cling to dry lips. A lipliner I’ve been really enjoying is the Urban Decay 24/7 Lip Liner* in Streak. This is more of a peachy, orange toned coral. It’s a great liner to use with the last lip product. The Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain in Candied Coral* is another great orangey, peachy coral. This really stains the lips too, so it’s good to wear all day.
I’ve been loving the Rose & Cherry Roller Ball perfume from Kiko, it now lives in my ball permanently. It’s just incredibly handy and it smells great! Sadly no longer available online, but worth a look in store if you can. Something you may remember from a haul not too long ago are the Elegant Touch Express Press-On Nails in Polish Black*. This were great for breaking the habit of picking at my nails and also just to take the hassle out of maintaining a manicure! Will definitely repurchase these in future, I’d so many compliments on them.
The last favourite of the month is the rather beautiful John Rocha bright pink lace print scarf*. I got this at the SS15 fashion event a few months ago and I’ve been utterly loving it recently. It is a coral pink I think and it thoroughly brightens my day when I wear it. It’s lovely to jazz up a plain t-shirt & jeans outfit, it’s another thing I’ve had lots of compliments on. Love it!
