August Favourites!

August Beauty Makeup Favourites

I’ve some wonderful new additions this month and a marvellous rediscoveries.  This month I bought new skin care, I repurchased the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm*, this is a great evening cleanser, removing all traces of makeup and leaving my skin lovely & soft.  I’ve been trying out the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel* in the mornings.  I use a pea sized amount, it goes from being a gel to an oil texture when it’s warmed up.  I brought both with me while I was tripping about and they helped keep my skin clear and so lovely and soft.

I repurchased the Dior Skin Nude* foundation in 010 Ivory, I use this on most days.  It has been great throughout the summer, it gives a medium coverage and it leaves my skin looking healthy, allowing my freckles to show through.  For lips it’s been all about the lipstick.  I picked up Tantalize Titiller from Covergirl, this has lay forgotten for far too long.  It’s a creamy blue toned pick that adds just a nice touch of colour.  From bareMinerals I have a fantastic coral, Light It Up.  This is really pigmented adn wears well throughout the day, leaving a bit of a stain.  Another pink is from Esteé Lauder Pure Colour Envy lipstick line, Powerful.  This is more of a mid-toned pink, again very wearable, very creamy and easy to reapply.  It’s always worth going through our lipstick stash, you never know what you might find.

Lipstick Swatches

I rediscovered the Jordana 12Hr Made To Last eyeliners. I needed a nice charcoal and found Charcoal Definition, which is quite a dark grey, taupe with some glitter running through it.  I’ve used it repeatedly this month, they’re all pigmented and apply really nicely, without tugging on my eyelid. I like to wear these smudged out, with just mascara on days when I’m keeping it simple.  Once it sets, it stays in place all day so I would recommend applying one eye at a time and smudging it out.

Eyeliner Swatches

I’ve been loving Green Meadow this month for my nails.  It’s from the Barry M Silk Collection and it’s a wonderful iridescent mint, which is fully opaque in two coats.  This lasts well on the nails and it matches my hair!  So win all round 🙂

Those have been my favourite beauty products for the month of August.  What have been your favourites?  Have you any recommendations?  Thanks for reading!

    1. It does seem to last a really long time though, well from what other’s have said & that you only need a tiny bit. At least I hope it lasts a long time! It was a bit of a birthday treat, so maybe something to put on a wishlist for future 🙂
