GOSH #Foundation Drops

GOSH Foundation Drops

This new shiny foundation drops retails for £12.99* and you get 30ml.  Although as of writing this, it’s on offer at £9.99 in Superdrug, not sure how long that will last.  This new foundation is part of the new wave of very liquid-y foundations, I’ve seen a No7 and mac version too.  Sadly when I looked at No7 I couldn’t find a foundation light enough and mac, well it was expensive just to try it out.  So GOSH was a good budget alternative and pretty close shade match.  I have the shade 002 Ivory.  It is a yellow toned shade, but not too dark and I can easily get away with it.

Once I’ve given this a good shake I like to apply it with my fingers.  You can also apply it with a brush, but I wouldn’t recommend a sponge as it would likely absorb more than it would apply.  This applies really nicely and blends out very easily.  This has a dropper to dispense the foundation, which can be a wee bit faffy but better than just an open top.  It has a bit of a powdery feel to it, I reminds me of the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint on that front.  It settles down to a semi matte finish, I would recommend setting this if you have oilier skin as it thoroughly broken down along the centre of my face.  You might get 5hours of wear out of this, but not much more unless you have dry skin.
GOSH Before After
I’ve done a before and after so you can get an idea of coverage.  This provides light coverage but it is slightly buildable, not massively now, you will still need concealer for those blemishes or dark circles.   It does however help to even out skin tone and it does bring the redness down a bit.  So even though it doesn’t last all day and I still need concealer etc, I’m very much a fan of this foundation.  It feels so very lightweight on the skin, it doesn’t cause any irritation, it is just a joy to wear.  This has replaced my BB cream for those days where I just fancy a wee bit of coverage but don’t really want the hassle of applying a foundation with a brush.  Love it lots.
You can check out the video below to see it in action.  Have you tried out any of the new wave of very fluid foundations?

  1. lovely finish to this! It looks so nice and natural on you 🙂 It reminds me of Gressa Serum Foundation except more affordable and less organic, but I think it’s a great option for anyone who likes a bargain – the finish looks very similar! thanks for sharing this 🙂
