December Favourites

December Favourites

So it’s the last monthly favourites of 2015! I’ve some new additions and fabulous old favourites.  I repurchased the mac Painterly Paint Pot bought at the end of November.  This is the best eyelid primer for me at the minute, my eyelids are really oily and need something that will stay in place.  This has worked wonders, I’m so pleased to have this again.  I also bought the new L’Oreal true match foundation* in Rose Ivory and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying using this with my real techniques beauty sponge. It’s quite full coverage and lasts so well throughout the day.  I can’t wear it every day as it does tend to clog my skin a wee bit, but I’ve figured out a routine for it.  On the days that I’ve not been wearing the true match foundation, I’ve been reaching for the bareMinerals matte foundation* in Fair.  This is a medium coverage foundation which I buff on, I also use it as a concealer with a flat brush.  I forgot how wonderful it is and my skin doesn’t complain when I use it at all.

For my cheeks I’ve been wearing essence matt touch blush* in Berry Me Up.  This is a lovely soft warm pink, just that perfect flush on the cheeks.  I have 3 lip products this month, all old favourites for winter.  First is Max Factor Colour Elixir lipstick in Mulberry, this was a favourite from last winter as well.  It’s a wonderful berry lipstick with a soft metallic sheen, it’s very wearable and perfect for that pop of colour.   From NARS I have the satin lip pencil in Rikugien, which is a lovely sheer nude, it adds just a touch of colour with a nice gloss finish.  Lastly is this Jordana Twist & Shine balm stain in Honey Love (I tihnk, sadly the name has worn off).  It’s another great warm nude, with more pigmentation.  All of the lip products are lovely and comfortable to wear on the lips, nicely moisturising.  Which is what you need from a lip product in winter.
