Sheet Mask Treatment for Spots!

As you’ve likely heard me moan in the past, my skin has been playing up in recent months and would only settle for short periods of time.  I’ve have scarring from spots and generally my face felt clogged.  You may remember my post back in December on the Timeless Truth masks, that I wanted to try out more of line!  Angela seen my post and very kindly got in touch!  After discussing my skin, Angela picked these masks to help deal with my spotty, congested skin.  Even better she told me the order to use them and gave me a wee treatment plan!  Winning.  So let’s get stuck in with the first mask.

The Charcoal Detox Brightening Facial Beauty Mask (£4.90) was the first in my treatment plan.  The blurb

The black powder Impregnated in the cloth is the product of Moso Bamboo Charcoal Extract created at a very high temperature (around 800℃). This particular powder has been proven to be highly absorbent and deep cleansing.  Ideal for those with congested skin or those who live in high pollution areas.  Brightening (prevent dark pigment), Reduce Freckles, Moisturising, Soft Glowing Skin.

The mask had a rather fun chequered effect, which just made me smile.  Aside from that, it left my skin feeling incredibly clean but not dry!  Immediately after, my skin felt smooth to the touch and I had the biggest noticeable difference with this mask.  I definitely did help to clear my skin and just generally take away that congested feeling.  The next day I couldn’t stop touching my face, it just felt so soft and smooth!  This was the favourite from the bunch!

A few days later came Green Tea Phenol Soothing Facial Beauty Mask (£4.90).  The blurb

The green impregnated colour in the cloth is Green Tea Extract itself; it prevents premature signs of ageing and refines skin texture. With this layer of protection, it minimises enlarged pores and reduces acne while it improves uneven skin tone and dark pigmentation to help repair the skin.  Ideal for those prone to Spots, Acne or with Oily skin.  Treatment for Acne, Maintain Elasticity, Prevent Premature Ageing, Regulates oily secretions, Skin Radiance.

Again, I enjoyed this one, however, because I had such a noticeable difference with the first mask, I expected similar with this one.  It was more gentle and I think it did add to the overall improvement of my skin, but I would purchase the charcoal mask over this one.  Again my skin did not feel dry or dehydrated after I removed this mask.

For both of these masks I cleansed my skin afterwards and applied The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil*.  I did have the odd spot appear, although these were expected as I could feel them under the skin for a wee while!  The masks just brought them to a head and they cleared very quickly!

The third mask was the Orchid Extract Replenishing Facial Beauty Mask (£6.50).  This is such a cool mask! It had ear holes and a chin strap, mind blown, even if they were a bit fiddly.  Anyway, the blurb

Orchid Extract instantly helps to hydrate and plump out the tissues leaving a smoother finer surface to the skin. This is the ideal treatment for dry, lifeless, dull looking skin. For Dry, Mature skin.  Brightening, Moisturising, Anti-ageing, Clarity, Prevent dark Spots, Reduce uneven skin tone, Anti-Oxidant.

Definitely felt the hydrating benefits of this mask.  Once I had it in place and smoothed it all down, it felt lovely and cooling, similar to the rest.  When I had finished with it, I just smoothed in the residue.  It absorbed really well and again I noticed difference with this.  I found myself stroking my face because it was so soft.  It helped to sooth those quickly disappearing spots.  My skin by this point was definitely looking much better than it had in a while, so chuffed.

The last mask I used was the Bio Cellulose Apple Stem Cell Collagen Facial Beauty Mask (£7.90).  This was my second favourite mask.  The texture was much more gel like, similar to the Bio Cellulose EGF Revitalising Facial mask I mentioned in the last post.  It felt incredibly hydrating and soothing.  I didn’t get around to using this for a good week after the other masks – simply because I was so happy with the condition of my skin.  Seriously!  I actually noticed a massive difference in the scarring.  My skin was happy, no spots, no congested face, it felt wonderful.

The blurb for this mask

Using Stem Cells extracted from Swiss Apple Uttuiler Spattauber the skin is nourished and stimulated. The apple Stem Cells act in a very similar way also to human skin cells, so, they help repair damaged tissue and help delay and reduce the visable signs of ageing.  Anti-Ageing, Repairs Damaged Tissue, Improves Elasticity of the Skin, Prevents Premature Ageing.  All Skin types.

This felt the most hydrating of all the masks.  Again once I was done with this mask I just rubbed any residue in with nothing else afterwards.  I also popped the left over serum in the fridge and popped the rest on my face the day after.  So nice and cooling!  If you fancy a very cooling face mask, pop them in the fridge for a wee bit beforehand.

All in all I loved these masks and would without hesitation recommend checking them out.  I had no irritation and they had a massive impact on my skin.  Love them!
