I recently went to a rather fun Crown Brush & Vanity X Makeup beauty event. We got to see a few makeup artist create various looks, there was a glorious day time smokey eye with glowing skin by an artist called Nina and then a more special effects look created by Maisy – you must check out her Instagram. I went to London with fellow blogger Holly, from Closing Winter and I think we may have enabled a few purchases for each other.. After watching the makeup artists work, we checked out the Crown Brush stand and bought a few things. We did receive the Duo Face Brush in the goody bag, along with an eyeshadow trio in 108 from Inglot. Both fun products to play with. I bought the Pro Dome Blender, another face brush – name unknown, a tapered blending brush and the tapered blending brush. I’m a bit of a fan of the Crown Brush blending brushes.
As it turned out, we were very close to Covent Garden…unsurprisingly we strolled over in the glorious sunshine with a coffee and had a bit of a potter about. We were drawn into the colourful 3ina cosmetics and I decided to try one of their pencil eyeshadows in 108. We did pop in to Charlotte Tilbury, sadly they were out of stock of the Vintage Vamp eyeshadow palette which I’d taken a fancy to. Turns out it was limited edition. Sad times. While we were there we decided to pay Kiko a visit. I ended up picking up two eyeshadow quads, 100 and 101. 101 does seem very similar to the Vintage Vamp palette, 100 has more cool bronze and golds. I feel in love with one of the water shadows in 204. Can you blame me, it’s stunning. The last product I decided to get is the Velvet Passion Matte lipstick in 315 Mauve, which is a nice mid toned pink, great for everyday wear. I have included some of the footage from the event, which you can check out below if you fancy a peek at what went on!
