You might remember from the Blogger Meet Up & Goody Bag post, that I got a sample pack of the Skin Salvation set from PurePotions. As you can guess from the nearly empty samples, I thoroughly enjoy these products. In the sample pack you get an Intensive Hand Cream, an Intensive Moisturising Ointment and a Daily Moisturising Cream. The Intensive Hand Cream is lovely and creamy in texture and spreads easily over your hands. It definitely did help my dry hands and I’m dying to use up the rest but I had to take some photos before it was all gone. I think it’s great for the warmer weather, I need a heavier moisturiser in the winter. This is where the Intensive Moisturising Ointment steps in.
My hands have just about recovered from the harsher weather, this ointment really helped my cracked knuckles. It is much denser in consistency and has more of a balm texture, it becomes an oil as it warms on your hands. I like to use this on my elbows too, as they can get very dry too. You do need to use a bit more of this than the cream but it does absorb quite quickly too and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.
Lastly is the Daily Moisturising Cream. I use this in the mornings and love it. It’s quite thick in consistency and sinks into the skin very quickly, so I tend to dab my finger and massage it into an area and repeat that all over my face. You don’t need a massive amount, this has lasted me a few weeks now and I’ve still a bit left. I have mostly normal skin, with a bit of oiliness down the centre and the odd dry patch. This doesn’t feel heavy on my face or clog my skin and it hasn’t caused any irritation in the weeks I’ve been testing it. I’m definitely getting a full size of this in the very near future.
These all smell wonderful, nothing too intense but there is a wonderful herbal scent. These are all free from artificial chemicals, perfumes and parabens. PurePotions products are natural more suitable for use on sensitive skin, from the website:
Our range of products are made from ingredients that are as close to their natural state as possible in order to reduce the risk of reaction that can occur with highly processed substances
I cannot recommend testing out this sample pack enough, particularly if you’ve drier skin. Let me know if you’ve any questions, I’d love recommendations for other brands I should check out.
