Last week I popped along to Elif Köse in Rottingdean to spend the evening being styled by Bethanie Lunn. I was more than a bit excited! I got to hang out with Lyndsay (Fizzypeaches), OK so I was also very excited to meet her daughter Violet too, so cute! Back to the fashion. The clothes at Elif Köse are so very pretty, I think I spent a large chunk of my time just touching things.
I mean look at this beautiful leather jacket, the inside detail is stunning, so colourful. I do love hidden details, it’s like wearing a little colourful secret. I have a few jackets with that inside detail and I do love when I wear them. Majority of the clothes were Elif Köse designs, with the odd other brands mingled in. It was so awesome to know that there’s a designer just down the road, selling stunning clothes.
Everywhere I turned there was another hidden gem. So many accessories! Baskets filled with patterned scarves, earrings dangling from wire cages, leather cuffs overflowing from wicker holders and necklaces dripping from trees. All of the beautiful things, every direction I looked. We all know I’m a fan of accessories, it helps me add colours to my day – even when I feel like wearing a uniform of black.
It did feel like a bloggers fairy land, everywhere I turned a beautiful picture waiting to be taken! Hence this post being photo heavy, just be glad I managed to cull it down!
Bethanie had such fun styling us. Lyndsay discovered her waist again and we helped her come to terms a wee bit with her post baby body. I decided I had to try on this rather stunning black dress, Bethanie may have also wanted me to try it on. I felt like I belonged in Gossip Girl and that I should attend a charity banquet immediately. If someone could sort that out as soon as possible, I’ll be your best friend!
I followed the black dress by promptly falling in love with these utterly excellent trousers. I love the layering, the drape of the top layer adds to the swish. I like that they’re high waisted and nip me in at my most narrow point. There’s also the fact that they look like a maxi skirt too. If I wasn’t saving for Bali, I would have bought them there and then. They’re just stunning and flow wonderfully. One day they will be mine.
There were also some beautiful wedding dresses on display. Again all created by Elif Köse. They held beautiful details and I’ve no doubt they would make any bride feel fabulous.
I had a wonderful evening at Elif Köse and it was fun trying on lots of different clothes and having a bit of a girly few hours. Did I mention Gossip Girl vibes? I cannot recommend checking out Elif Köse enough, if you’re looking for that unique item, it’s worth a peek!
